Techrix recieved ISO 9000:2000 certification in December 2003 by AQA (American Quality Assessors). Certification is on-file and can be accessed using this link.
ISO 9000:2000 QMS is based on eight quality management principles that reflect best management practices. These principles can be used by senior management as a framework with which to guide their organizations toward improved performance. The principles are derived from the collective experience and worldwide knowledge of quality directors, managers and their associated staff, then collected by ISO/TC176 (responsible for developing and maintaining the ISO 9000 standards).
The eight quality management principles are defined in ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 9004:2000. These eight quality management principles are:
1. Customer focus
2. Leadership
3. Involvement of people
4. Process approach
5. System approach to management
6. Continual improvement
7. Factual approach to decision making
8. Mutually beneficial supplier relationships
Main Improvements
Main improvements in the revised ISO 9000 standards are the increased focus on top management commitment, emphasis on the process approach within the organization, continual improvement together with enhancing satisfaction for customers and other interested parties.
